Monocene is a croatian/german alternative rock band formed in the winter of 2023. The band consists of singer & guitarist Joerg Grote, Igor Zimic on bass & backing vocals and Stjepan Vukušić playing the drums, all experienced musicians in their 30s and 40s. With a sound influenced by rock, grunge and alternative of the late 90s and early 2000s, monocene brings a fresh perspective to the genre with their introspective lyrics and dynamic musical compositions.
